I like this too. You could also pre-select a code number as a winner for some amount of points. I realize you have no control over when it will go out or if it will ever be posted so you may have to put some time constraint on it, but if it is, it c…

Found it. It was a blog post. Click on "Blogs". Type in "What kind of shoes do you wear at work?" in the search box and it should take you right to the blog. It had lots of comments so you can decide for yourself what you might want to try.

Click on "Discussions", go to page 5 and you will find a discussion about shoes, cost and many opinions on which are best. I started a discussion about this subject too but can't seem to find it now. I like Shoes For Crews but many people seemed to…

I'll chime in and completely agree with what has already been said. This relationship has little chance of being salvaged so it would be better to terminate it as soon as you can. Don't forget that you OWN THE BUSINESS! You pay her, not the other wa…

TNorton, what a cool job that had to be, at least in the imagination of all of us! My wife is such a fan of that show that she would be thrilled to even have your autograph. (Then she could claim just 1 degree of separation) All of the theories abo…

I am late to this party but I will put in my 2 cents about injecting turkeys. For the last 8 or 9 years, we have fried turkeys for people. Some years we do as many 75 but on average, about 60 Thanksgiving week. We advertise that we will inject seaso…

What Kind of Shoes Do You Wear at Work?

People that work on their feet, like most everybody that visits this site, know that the most important thing they put on every morning is their shoes. The wrong shoes will cause fatigue, increase the likely hood of slips and falls and possibly expose the top of your feet to cuts and burns. The right pair of shoes will allow you to forget about your feet if they are comfortable and designed for the job you are doing.

A few months ago, I purchased the first pair of shoes I ha

FREE ADVERTISING

Stumbling around on twitter, I found a site that offers free posting of your daily lunch special. It is www.Sevenlunches.com. From what I can see and understand, once you establish an account, you simply post what you offer for a lunch special each day. Takes about 30 seconds. Then the "followers" of Sevenluches will receive a text between the hours of 10:00 and 11:00am, which is the special you put in for that day. If a follower is in different city than normal, they can go to Sevenlunches, typ… Continue

Hi Tom, I mainly wrangle volunteers...we are a very large church with a cafe and lots of meeting with food and beverages. So we keep a full calendar with events that require food/beverages and match the volunteers to the job. AND training people without food service background is always a big part ot the job. I come from a teaching background through a foodservice distributor. I traveled and visited with distributor customers to educate them on how to use new products and how to get their menu to be more profitable. I have also taught at a culinary school. So that is what I do. Managing the staff and ordering the food, beverages and settting up the events is a full time job around here so I should get on it! Stephanie
